Therapy
I am an experienced psychotherapist and work with individuals, couples, and families. I am a skilled generalist comfortable with anxiety, depression, life stress, family conflict, and problematic drug and alcohol use. I also specialize in therapy for individuals who are struggling with a caregiver role. For example: maybe you have a child with mental health or learning problems, a spouse with cancer or addiction, or a parent with pain or dementia. I can help you make sense of the diagnosis and treatment plan, improve your relationship with your loved one, strategize about what resources you may need, and preserve a sense of hope and self.
I am trained in cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and humanistic or person-centered therapy. My style is informative, collaborative, and honest. Whatever solutions we generate together need to work for you.
We can work quickly (over a few sessions) or slowly (over months or years). I strive to meet each person completely without judgment, hear their unique story, and offer expertise and support.
